THE JAI GROUP SEES ITS WORK AS FACILITATING THE
ENGAGEMENT OF CAPITAL AND TECHNOLOGY WITH RESOURCES
AND MARKETS
Sao Paulo is the economic centre for South America and is the dynamic business capital of Brazil. If technology is represented by Silicon Valley in our network of offices, Brazil represents the promise of resources and markets and, to a limited extent, technology in the areas of agriculture, urbanisation and healthcare.
Brazil controls huge agricultural, mineral and oil resources and is the gateway to the resource-rich South America, where copper, lithium and shale gas abound. Brazil is also a large market of 200 million people, constituting around 50% of the 450-million population of the continent of South America. More importantly, Brazil and South America are a microcosm of the world with multiplicity of races and ethnicities reflected here as well as the home to the Amazon and rich flora and fauna.
Silicon Valley is a leading centre for innovation and technology and is one of the top-five clusters that drive forward innovation in the world.
The Jai Group was established in Silicon Valley in 2015, aiming towards understanding, interpreting and leveraging technology trends for its clients. Our work here engages an extensive network of highly accomplished people to reflect the realities of the new economy. Much of our work helps technology companies from the Valley build a global presence in emerging markets. We also support many Latin American companies in building their US presence. Recently we have been involved in connecting emerging market capital with opportunities in the Valley. As part of our work we also invest in some promising start-ups as angel investors.

Mexico has successfully built an export industry based on manufacturing competitiveness. In the four-element framework, Mexico represents a balanced vision of markets and resources (energy and skilled labour). Mexico remains a very strong near-shoring destination for manufacturing outsourcing and a large market of 120 million people. Mexico is a gateway to many markets, including Northern and Central Latin America. Its large oil resources and solar energy potential add to its strengths.
The Jai Group currently operates in Mexico with partners who work under our brand but is planning a full-fledged operation. Our work in Mexico has largely focused on the strengths of our partners: pharmaceuticals and life sciences. We have also taken up projects in the automotives sector.
India is tipped to be the second or the third largest economy in the world by 2050, and it represents the potential of markets and technology in information technology, life sciences and cost-effective consumer innovations. Its large, middle-class, burgeoning energy; infrastructure needs; and start-up ecosystem are all key factors that portend its re-emergence as a global hub of economic activity. The Jai Group operates from Chennai, the hub for automotives, information technology and manufacturing in India. Our work currently supports Indian companies exploring Latin American markets and also Latin and US companies looking to establish a presence in India.
